I travelled to Manhattan to attend a birthday party at Porter House New York.

The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Time Warner Building at Columbus Circle.  Access to the floor is either by escalators or elevators. When I exited the elevator onto the smooth tile floor it was only a short distance to the open double door entrance of this beautiful establishment

The restaurant is spacious, with wood floors and room between the tables.  We were seated at two round tables to accommodate our party.  The waitress in charge went out of her way to make our experience memorable. The rest of the wait staff could not have been better.  Since it was a party, the menu was limited, but everything we were served was delicious.  There were eighteen women at this party and not one complaint.  I think that says it all!

The restroom was very close to where we were seated. The large, separate, handicapped accessible stall is directly behind the door and includes a sink.

We all had a wonderful time. The next time I am on the west side of Manhattan, I plan to return for lunch or dinner.  I will try to get a table by the window to enjoy the beautiful view of New York City.

As always, we at Destination:Accessible, advise you to check a venue's website, www.porterhousenewyork.com, when planning a visit, to ""know before you go.""
